The trip begins with a full day's drive from Rishikesh to Chopta, roughly 7 hours on the road, with breakfast and lunch enjoyed en route. On arrival, the group checks into the stay at Chopta and joins the wider Panch Kedar batch, who arrive the same evening after their own trek down from Mandal. A relaxed dinner marks the meeting point of the two groups before an early night.
An early wake-up at 3 AM leads into a 4 AM start for an easier trek up to Tungnath Ji for darshan, followed by another hour's climb to Chandrashila. After taking in the views, the group treks back down to Chopta for lunch, then drives roughly 3 hours to Ransi Village. The evening winds down with check-in, dinner, and sleep.
Wake-up is at 3 AM, with the trek starting at 4 AM for a roughly 6-hour climb, including a lunch break along the way. On reaching Madmaheshwar Ji, the group settles into the stay, visits the temple, and witnesses the aarti before dinner and rest.
An early 4 AM start begins the roughly 5-hour trek back down to Ransi, followed by lunch. From Ransi, the drive back to Rishikesh takes roughly 7 hours. The trip concludes here, with the sacred stillness of Tungnath and Madmaheshwar staying with you long after the mountains fade from view.
